Fun Tree Houses

Fun Tree Houses

We love all things windows and doors but a lot of times we get inspired by other things. One of those other things is the “tree house”. As kids we all wanted one…as adults we wanted one for our kids (we really wanted one for ourselves).  Tree houses are whimsical and inspiring, from the simplest one to the more elaborate we see today. Tree houses in olden times may have been for necessity, either for safety from wild animals or water, but they are mostly recreational now. Either way, they endure and will always be a part of growing up…even if you never had one you can take a moment to appreciate some…in the pictures that follow!

Summer Home Improvement

Summer Home Improvement

Younger homeowners and homes with children are significantly more likely to be planning a home improvement this summer and perhaps as many as three or more home improvements.
Homeowners plan to spend a median of $1,200 on summer home improvement projects.
Homes with children as well as homeowners 54 and younger plan to spend one-third more ($1,500) compared with homes without children and those 55 and older ($1,000).
Some of the most popular summer home improvement projects are outdoor spaces (40 percent) and bathrooms (17 percent). According to the Zillow Digs Summer Home Improvement Trend and Spending Survey, 60 percent of homeowners plan to make a home improvement or addition this summer. Summer is known for its humid weather and thunderstorms. Protect your doors from the elements this summer by installing brand new storm doors. Storm doors protect your main doors from the elements while bringing style to your home. It’s also a a great way to bring natural summer light into your home. Does your electric bill skyrocket every summer because of air conditioning costs? By installing new windows you can conserve energy by keeping heat in or out of the house. These windows also add décor and style to your home. As fall approaches and the nights cool down, open the windows to let the fresh air in, or keep them closed to preserve heat. From outdoor to indoor, there is something to make your home more presentable this summer as you get together with family and friends. These renovations will make your home more enjoyable this summer while also adding value.
